From the winery with the famous Red Stripe comes d'Arenberg The Dry Dam Riesling, the big brother Riesling of the family.
Chester has produced a softer more appealing style Riesling from McLaren Vale not a specialist region for Riesling. As expected flinty mineral notes, lemon and juicy lime are all present with a youthful fruitiness that makes this wine a perfect companion with food.
The Story Behind The Name, The Dry Dam Riesling: In 1992 our neighbours built a dam in which no water lay, as it was a dry winter. The next year it rained but the dam was jinxed and didn’t hold water. We still hold the blame. Some people mix the name around, calling the wine ‘The Dam Dry Riesling’, which in some years is truer than others.
